ORA Technology
ORA™ System for Cataract Surgery
During cataract surgery, your cloudy eye lens is removed and replaced with a clear Intraocular Lens (IOL). There are different types of IOLs to help you achieve the best vision for your lifestyle and budget. We work closely with you before surgery to help you select the right choice for you.
Each IOL is set with a power to correct your vision problems before going into surgery. However, cataract surgery can slightly alter those refractive error measurements. At CorrectVision Laser Institute our doctors can implement Optiwave Refractive Analysis (ORA) technology using Wavefront analysis to assess your eye after the cataract has been removed and make real-time adjustments of the IOL power during surgery.
ORA System Benefits
Without ORA technology, your replacement lens may not be as accurate as it could be. The ORA System gives our South Florida cataract doctors the ability to:
- Calculate your true refractive power during surgery
- Alter the IOL power in real time
- Provide a more custom procedure
- Reduce the need for follow-up surgeries
- Provide better vision for patients with astigmatism
I feel as though there aren’t enough words to describe
