Dr. Michelle Gonzalez
Dr. Michelle Gonzalez is the clinical director, optometrist and physician relations coordinator at Correctvision Laser Institute. She performs complete eye evaluations, pre and post operative care for all surgical procedures and specializes in contact lenses. In addition, she oversees clinical care in the Pembroke Pines and Weston offices, and ensures that patients are receiving excellent quality care. Dr. Gonzalez also meets with local optometrists and primary care physicians, and organizes continuing education courses for optometrists.
Dr. Michelle Gonzalez graduated with honors with a degree in Biology from Barry University in 1999 and then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, School of Optometry in 2003. She was a member of the Optometric Honors Society and completed a residency in Primary Care, Cornea and Contact Lenses. She participated in various ocular disease and surgical internships, and she was involved in research studies in the fields of amblyopia, dryness and contact lenses. In addition, she received awards of Excellence in Primary Care, Ocular Disease and Contact Lenses. Dr. Gonzalez is an active member of the Florida and Broward County Optometric Associations.
Dr Gonzalez is Cuban-American, and was born in Miami, Florida. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. She enjoys reading, outdoor activities and traveling with her husband and two little girls.
