JUVÉDERM®

JUVÉDERM® is quickly becoming one of the most popular injectable dermal fillers available. Dr. Barry Concool at CorrectVision can perform JUVÉDERM® for patients wishing to smooth out deep wrinkles and fine lines along the face for a more youthful appearance. This treatment is also useful for adding volume to facial features such as the lips and cheeks.

Made of hyaluronic acid – a naturally-occurring substance in the human body – JUVÉDERM® does not require an allergy test before treatment. During the procedure, JUVÉDERM® is injected with an ultra-fine needle into the areas targeted for rejuvenation. A local anesthetic can be applied to these areas before the injections to make you as comfortable as possible. With JUVÉDERM®, deep wrinkles and fine lines, creases, and other signs of age can be filled in and smoothed out. Plus, JUVÉDERM® can provide effective lip augmentation for a more youthful, sensual contour to the lips, as well as add volume to the cheeks to address the appearance of hollowness. The entire JUVÉDERM® procedure typically takes about 30 minutes or less to complete, and results are often immediately apparent.

JUVÉDERM® is known for its long-lasting results – six to nine months or more in many cases. Some mild bruising and swelling can be expected after treatment; however, this should dissipate quickly, and normal daily routines can usually be resumed right after treatment.

Radiesse®

Similar to JUVÉDERM®, Radiesse® is an injectable dermal filler designed to provide effective rejuvenation of wrinkles and other signs of facial aging. Radiesse® can also provide lip augmentation, and even fill in some types of scars. The treatment is administered with an ultra-fine needle in the target areas, and generally takes only about 15 minutes to complete.

After Radiesse® injections, patients may experience some redness, bruising, and/or swelling in the treatment areas; however, this is generally mild and should fade within a few days. Results from Radiesse® treatment are known to last up to a year or more, and can be maintained with follow-up procedures.
